Dhaka, Feb 28 (BDNEWS) – The 21st Death anniversary of Shaheed Tajul Islam will be observed on Wednesday.
Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) has taken up an elaborate programme to commemorate the death anniversary of Tajul.
On February 28 of 1984 Tajul was fired upon in a procession of workers who demanded formation trade unions, minimum wages and removal of dictatorial government of HM Ershad.
Tajul along with severely injured protesters was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later, he succumbed to his injuries on March 1.
