BRTC-operated bus catches fire in Dhaka

Fire Service Control Room official Shahzadi Sultana said that the bus, operated by state-owned Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC), caught fire around 12 pm.

"Two fire fighting units have rushed to the spot," she told bdnews24.com.

The fire service official, however, had no idea how the bus had caught fire.

Airport Police Station OC Shah Alam said that a mechanical malfunction may have caused the fire.

He said no one was injured.
