Bikers die in Sherpur road crash

The accident took place at Kumri on the Sherpur-Jhinaigati road around 9:15pm on Thursday, Sherpur Police OC Mohammad Mazharul Karim said.

The deceased were identified as Zainul Abedin Zulu, 28, of Durganarayanpur, and Alimul Haque Arif, 32, of Narayanpur.

They were on their way back in Sherpur from a Christmas show at Jhinaigati.

The OC said quoting witnesses, "The truck had hit the bike while overtaking, killing the riders on the spot."

Police seized the truck and filed a case but the driver managed to flee.
