Bangladesh Navy enrols woman sailors for the first time
They joined 727 men in the Passing Out Parade of the 2016 batch at naval base Titumir in Khulna on Monday.
Navy chief Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed conferred medals on the new sailors after inspecting the parade and taking the salute, Inter Service Public Relations Directorate ( ISPR) said in a media release.
The navy chief asked the new sailors of the force to be inspired by the spirit of Liberation War and use what they have learnt during training effectively.
