AL leader stabbed to death in Satkhira

Police suspect activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Shibir were responsible for the killing.

Awami League’s Bishnupur Union President Moslem Uddin, 65, was stabbed to death around 3pm on Tuesday, Satkhira Assistant Superintendent of Police (Kaliganj circle) Mir Monir Hossain said.

He came under the attack as he was returning home helping police in a joint forces-led drive at Bishnupur union in the morning, Hossain said.
