The gold bars were found around 11pm Tuesday after the plane came from Singapore, said Customs department’s Joint Commissioner Qazi Mohammad Ziauddin.
He told bdnews24.com that a tip-off had led to the raid.
The gold bars seized were worth approximately Tk 95 million, he said, adding that they were trying to find the smugglers.
