Bashkhali Police Station OC Kamrul Hasan said the incident happened around 9am on Tuesday at the Upazila’s Naporha area.
“The Chittagong-bound bus caught fire after its gas cylinder exploded. Around 16 persons have been injured,” said Hasan.
The injured were taken to the Bashkhali Health Centre, said the clinic’s doctor Md Minhaz.
Six of them have been shifted to the Chittagong Medical College and Hospital with burn injuries.
