100 houses gutted in Khulna
The fire broke out around 8:30pm at Harijan Palli, police said.
Eight firefighting units put out the flames at around 10pm.
Harijan Palli Police Station OC Saidur Rahman said over 100 houses had been damaged in the fire.
He said three people, including firefighter Abbas Ali, had been injured during the frantic efforts.
Ali had been rushed to the Khulna Medical College and Hospital. The identities of the rest two could not be known immediately.
Khulna zone's Fire Service Mobilising Officer Rabiul Islam said eight firefighting units had put out the fire after nearly an hour's try.
He, however, could not confirm the reason of the fire.
