Fishermen back on land after ban on sea fishing
A 58-day fishing ban has taken effect midnight on Wednesday to allow 475 species of fish in the Bay of Bengal to breed and reproduce freely. Fishermen from Shah Porir Dwip in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf returned to the coast on their trawlers before the deadline. Now they are busy repairing their nets and vessels.
