With a promise to provide the best customer experience, Kazi Mahboob Hassan, head of transformation at GP, formally inaugurated the 4G network on Sunday.

Md Touhidur Rahman Talukder, head of business circle (Rajshahi), and Mohammad Saiful Islam, director, Deployment and Projects, were present on this occasion.

Currently, Grameenphone’s 4G services are available at New Market and Alu Potti areas in Rajshahi.

Additional areas of Rajshahi will come under GP’s 4G coverage within a few days, according to the statement.

Other areas in Dhaka, Chittagong, Comilla, Khulna and Sylhet are also under coverage. Most divisional cities are also expected to come under4G coverage shortly.

The operator plans to roll out its 4G network in the fastest and widest manner, like it did with 3G, covering all district headquarters in six months.

”Grameenphone is committed to providing the best services to its customers in Rajshahi and 4G will be no different. People, educational institutes and businesses of Rajshahi will be highly benefitted from the introduction of 4G,” Hassan said at the launch.

The 4G rollout plan, combined with its modern network’s ability to adopt the future-forward technology, will allow customers to experience HD video and live TV streaming, crystal-clear video calling, and super-fast downloads.

Customers can check if their SIMs are 4G enabled or not by dialling *121*3232#.

If not, they are requested to contact the nearest SIM replacement points or Grameenphone centres.

They will also need 4G-enabled handsets to enjoy 4G services.
