JCI is a nonprofit organisation of young change-makers aged 18 to 40. City Alo is the dedicated women banking division of City Bank.

With their tie up, they will organise different “advocacy workshops, trainings, seminars and other impactful activities”, said a statement.

“JCI Bangladesh truly believes in women empowerment and this MoU is another milestone.”

They have around 1,000 members and approximately 40 percent of them are female.

City Alo will provide specific privileges to those female members, including the facility of three types of Alo savings account, facilitation of 10 JCI female entrepreneurs in the “Certification Program for Women Entrepreneurs” in every batch and many more.

Similarly, JCI Bangladesh will arrange different community events on women development at the City Alo Centre, and provide partnership opportunities to City Alo for different events.

Irfan Islam, 2019 National President of JCI Bangladesh, and Arup Haider, Head of Retail Banking, The City Bank Limited, signed the MoU on Thursday at the City Alo Centre. Senior executives of both sides witnessed the signing.
