The nomination form sale was inaugurated at the party office in Dhaka on Friday, a day after the Election Commission announced the election schedule.

The nomination form for Awami League President Sheikh Hasina for the Gopalganj-3 constituency was collected by General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

Later, the form was handed over to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, religious affairs secretary of the Awami League.

Another nomination form has also been bought for Hasina and the name of the constituency will be disclosed later, according to Quader.

This time too, Quader has bought the nomination form for Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury for Rangpur-6 constituency and handed it over to Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Mia.

Awami League Joint-General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif received a form for General Secretary Quader for the Noakhali-5 constituency.
“The sale of our nomination forms has begun amid a lot of enthusiasm,” said Quader as he inaugurated the sale at the AL president’s office and the party’s election office in Dhanmondi.

The AL nomination board led by Hasina will hold a meeting at the party’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Nov 11 to decide the deadline for selling forms, Quader said.
