The widow with her two daughters, Zahia Rahman and Zaisa Rahman, arrived at the hospital on Saturday noon, around half an hour after Khaleda was taken there from the old jailhouse on Nazimuddin Road in Dhaka.

They waited in their car for some time when police stopped them at the gate of the cabin block.

A group of leaders and activists of the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal crowded around the car at the time.

They entered the hospital director’s office first.

Khaleda was at the cabin no. 512 of the hospital from where she was taken to the radiology and imaging department for the x-ray after speaking to the doctors.

Sharmila and the two granddaughters of Khaleda visited the BNP chief at the department during the test.

BNP Joint Secretary General Mahbub Uddin Khokon, who is also a lawyer for Khaleda, told bdnews24.com: “I took them there after speaking to the hospital authorities.”

“Madam had spoken to Sithi and the granddaughters,” he said.

The hospital authorities said Khaleda chose doctors for the checkup while the BNP alleged the government staged a drama in the name of Khaleda's treatment to harass her.
