She will also inspect Bangladesh Navy’s annual parade on Sunday morning.

She will visit Mohiuddin’s house at Chashma Hill in the afternoon, AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem, an organising secretary of the Awami League, told bdnews24.com on Saturday.

Mohiuddin, who was the Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League chief and had served the city corporation for 16 years, died on Dec 15 at the age of 73.

His son Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury Nowfel, who is also an organising secretary of the ruling party, said the family was informed about the prime minister’s visit to their house.

“But we are yet to get the schedule. It will be confirmed after getting the security clearance,” he told bdnews24.com.
