A four-member bench led by Acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah announced a ‘no-order’ regarding the petition on Monday.

The judges heard the petition on Oct 26 and set Monday as the date of their decision.

On Oct 22, the High Court disposed of a petition by Khaleda to question two state witnesses and re-question nine others. Khaleda’s lawyers then brought the matter before the Appellate Division.

“There are currently no obstacles to proceeding with the case,” Anti-Corruption Commission lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan said after the decision on Monday.

However, Khaleda’s team can seek permission from the top court to start an appeal based on the full copy of the High Court dismissal issued on Sunday, he said.

The Zia Orphanage Trust graft case was filed in 2008. The ACC case accuses Khaleda, her son Tarique Rahman and four others of embezzling Tk 21 million.
