“Mr Ershad has congratulated the Prime Minister for forming the new government.”

“And he thanked [Hasina] for making him a special envoy to the Prime Minister,” Chowdhury told

Hasina’s party, the Awami League, formed government for a second successive term, winning by a predictable landslide in the Jan 5 polls boycotted by the BNP and its allies.
