Jaywalking, the new normal in Dhaka

Despite the obvious risk, jaywalking, whether on city streets or highways, has become an everyday common scene. The ever-growing stats of causalities in accidents are hardly discouraging people from risking their lives almost every day. The campaigns that the authorities, on a national or local level, have run for so many years to curb this deadly attitude have become yet another tale of failed messaging.
