Machang house dot Bandarban's hills

People living in the hills of Bandarban resort to various means to fend off wild animals. They build their houses on an elevated platform made of bamboo and wood. As many as 11 indigenous tribes make these houses, which are locally known as 'Machang Ghar'. Photo: U She Thowai Marma
