A makeshift market, known as Haat in Bangladesh, sits in Bogura’s Dhunot Upazila twice a week -- on Mondays and Thursdays. The farmers sell tomatoes there in winter. The traders buy tomatoes from this market and deliver them to other parts of the country, including Dhaka. Nearly 5,000 maunds (1 maund = 37.42 kg) of tomatoes are sold on each market day.
