Haroon made convener of newly formed HWPL Media Forum in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh chapter of the Media Forum for the South Korea-based non-profit international organisation - Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light or HWPL has been formed in Dhaka.

Former Director General of Bangladesh Television Kha Ma Haroon is the convener while Bangladesh Television’s Executive Producer Zahidul Islam and Boishakhi TV’s Chief News Editor Md Saiful Islam are the joint conveners of the forum.

Drik Founder photographer Shahidul Alam has been made the Adviser, the Forum said in a statement on Saturday.

They are also the Publicity Ambassador of the HWPL, founded in South Korea in 2013 by Peace Ambassador Man Hee Lee with a motto of establishing peace throughout the world. Now it has 218 offices in 126 countries around the world.

It is working for awareness building among the people through organising peace rally, seminar, symposium, peace education and advocacy for adopting Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War-DPCW.
