India presents Nawabi culture of Hyderabad in Dhaka Iftar

The High Commission of India in Dhaka has presented the Nawabi culture of Hyderabad in its Iftar hosted on Wednesday for the top Bangladeshi leaders, officials, cultural personalities and media.

Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, ministers, advisers to the prime minister, Leader of the Opposition Raushon Ershad, representatives of political parties including BNP, ambassadors, business leaders, eminent persons, editors and senior journalists attended the Iftar at the chancery complex.

High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla welcomed the guests.
This is the third consecutive year that the Indian mission has hosted Iftar, drawing a large of number top political leaders, officials, business leaders, cultural personalities and media.
“Religion is for individuals while festivals are for all," the high commissioner said in his speech.
He said this year the Iftar was themed on ‘Dawat-e-Hyderabad’.
He said they brought special chef from Radisson Blue Hotel Hyderabad for the gathering where Hyderabadi Halim, Biriyani and dessert double camica were served.
Shringla said the Halim is so special for Hyderabad that it is listed under the geographical indicator,which means nobody can produce Hyderababdi Halim unless it is part of the certification.
The high commission was decorated with Islamic style.
