New rules: Students must enter centres 30 minutes before public exams

Students taking public exams will have to enter centres 30 minutes before the tests start, says the education ministry aiming to stop leaks of questions by mobile phone.

Students failing to enter the centres within the time will not be allowed to take the tests, said Secondary and Higher Education Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said the new rules will be effective from the Junior School Certificate or JSC and Junior Dhakil Certificate or JDC scheduled to start on Nov 1.

The decision came on Tuesday from a meeting of the National Monitoring and Law Enforcement Committee's over the JSC and JDC exams.
