NBR collects Tk 25 billion from income tax fair 2018
The authorities have collected Tk 25 billion during the National Income Tax Fair 2018, marking a 11.35 percent jump from the figures of last year’s fair.

More than 1.6 million people received services from the weeklong fair, the National Board of Revenue said in a media release after the fair ended on Monday.
The number of return submission has leaped by 45 percent to around half a million, according to the release.
The fair was held at the Officers’ Club in Dhaka and 44 other spots across the country.
The citizens were able to submit tax returns and get e-TIN, e-Payment, e-Filing and different other services at the fair.
The NBR said the tax offices will continue giving the services which were available at the fair from Nov 22 to Nov 30.
At the closing ceremony in Dhaka, NBR Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said, “Paying tax is not a matter of fear or harassment anymore. It’s a matter of pride, joy.”
