Bangladesh’s GDP growth accelerated 7.86 percent in the past fiscal year, surpassing the estimate of 7.65 percent.

The economic growth for fiscal 2017-18 also beat the budgetary target of 7.4 percent, according to Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics or BBS.
Per capita income also increased to $1,751 from $1,610.
The final figure of economic growth was presented at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on Tuesday.
