In order to encourage the exporters, the subsidy is being given for the current fiscal year, according to a Bangladesh Bank circular issued on Monday.
Exporters will get 10 percent cash incentives for nine products, including pharmaceuticals, photovoltaic modules, motorcycles, chemicals (chlorine, hydrochloric acid, caustic soda and hydrogen peroxide), razors and razor blades, ceramic products, hat, and crab, it said.
With the subsidy to the products, the total number of subsidised products is now 35, which will receive the subsidy from Jul 1, 2018 to Jun 30, 2019.
In the past financial year, exporters received cash incentives against exports of 26 types of products.
