In his budget speech given earlier this year, Finance Minister AMA Muhith proposed honouring families with the title where all members are paying taxes for a long period of time.

He made the proposal to encourage taxpayers and thereby, meet his target to earn a third of revenue from income tax.

In English, the word ‘Kor’ means tax.
