Finance Minister's upcoming budget speech in Parliament and all other documents relating to the financial outlay for 2017-18 fiscal beginning on Jul 1, will be available on bdnews24.com web page.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will place the national budget for the FY 2017-18 on Thursday. This will be the 11th budget for Muhith - ninth in a row, as finance minister.
A government handout said on Tuesday that the speech and related information would be available on www.bdnews24.com along with several government websites.
It will be the fourth budget of the present government.
The government handout also said the 83-year-old minister would present the budget through a power-point presentation.
The budget speech, summary of the budget, annual financial statement, supplementary financial statement, the progress report on ‘Digital Bangladesh’, budget thoughts on children, reports on ‘gender budget’ are incorporated in the budget dossier.
Information on joint fund receipt, Bangladesh Economic Review-2017, report on managing climate change threats, demands for grants and allocations (revenue and development) are also part of the budget documents and will be available on the websites.
The Parliament Secretariat will also put a statement on the bank, insurance companies and other financial institutions for 2017-18 prepared by the Bank and Financial Institutions Division on the websites.
The handout says that anyone can download the information and documents from the Finance Division website – www.mof.gov.bd– and send opinions and suggestions, either from home or abroad, by filling up the feedback form.
Post-budget press briefing on Friday
The finance minister will address a post-budget press briefing on Friday.
He will answer different queries from journalists at the media meet to be held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium at 3pm.
