Muhith starts presenting Bangladesh’s budget for 2016-17 fiscal year
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has started presenting the proposed national budget for 2016-17 fiscal year in Parliament.

Earlier, the Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the Tk 3.41 trillion budget.
The new budget is 15.5 percent higher than the current FY’s main budget and 29 percent more than the revised one.
Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury is presiding over the Parliament session that began on Thursday afternoon.
