The West Indies were all out for 261 in their first match of the series at Dublin on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh skipper took three crucial wickets in his last spell after tight bowling in the first spell.

He first broke a 115-run partnership between Hope and Roston Chase by taking out half-centurion Chase, who was caught by Mustafizur Rahman at short fine leg after poor timing while trying to pull.

Hope, who scored 170 in a record 365 opening partnership with John Campbell in the last match against Ireland and total 363 in his last three innings against the Tigers, continued his brilliant performance until becoming the second victim of Mashrafe in the 43rd over.

The West Indies opener tried to blast the first delivery of the over through the off side, but got it off the bottom of the bat and straight to Mohammad Mithun at extra cover. The batsman hit 11 fours and one six in his 109-run innings off 132.

Mashrafe let his counterpart Jason Holder play only two balls to crank up the pressure on the West Indies. Holder tried to hit the length outside off to third-man, but slight deviation off the seam induced an outside edge. Wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim initially fumbled but finally held on.

Mustafizur proved expensive as he gave away 84 runs in his 10 overs and got two wickets.

Medium-fast Mohammad Saifuddin also took two wickets while Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed one apiece.

Earlier, West Indies had won the toss and opted to bat first.
