Mustafiz reaches fifth in ICC ODI Bowlers ranking

Mustafizur Rahman has rocketed to the fifth place in the ICC ODI Bowlers ranking following the series against the West Indies.

It is the highest position the 23-year-old Bangladeshi pacer has occupied in his career.

He was awarded 24 points for the five wickets he took during three matches in the series, taking him to 695. He now trails South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada, who is ranked fourth, by seven points.

Bangladesh off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz has also achieved a career-best ranking of 28th after his six wickets in the series. Captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has moved up ten places to 23rd after taking six of his own.

Shakib Al Hasan has moved up to second in the all-rounders category and now trails Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan by a single point. He scored 95 runs and took three wickets in the series.

Soumya Sarkar has risen 10 places to rank 42nd among the ODI batsmen.

Bangladesh remain in seventh place on the ICC ODI team rankings.
