Bangladesh Coach Steve Rhodes has been pulled away from overseeing the practice of the international squad by the batting performance of Shadman Islam in the practice games.

After watching the young left-handed batsman play through two sessions he gave the green light and selectors welcomed the NCL’s highest scorer in the past season to the squad for the Chattogram Test against the West Indies.
His addition increases the size of the squad to 14.
Shadman scored 73 runs on the second day of the practice match with the BCB XI team.
