Rizwan and Irfan both suffered hamstring injuries in the third match in Rawalpindi, where a second-string New Zealand side won by seven wickets to level the five-match series 1-1
Sumona Haque Sumi had been bedridden with fever for more than two weeks, but the doctors could not diagnose her illness, Mashrafe told bdnews24.com on Tuesday, four days before the ODI squad leaves Dhaka for the Caribbean islands.
Finally, it came out that she was affected by bacteria and the doctors hospitalised her, the cricketer said.
“I won’t be able to catch Saturday’s flight if her health doesn't improve dramatically,” Mashrafe said.
The first two games of the three-match series will be played in Guyana on July 22 and 25 and the last one in Saint Kitts on July 28.
Those who are not in the Test squad, including Mashrafe, will leave Dhaka early on July 14.
