Major changes in Bangladesh T20 squad

Bangladesh is making major changes to its T20 squad, with eight left off, three players returning and five new additions.

The BCB announced the 15-member squad for the first T20 in a press release on Saturday. Shakib Al Hasan will return from injury to lead the team in the series.

Off-spinning all-rounders Mehedi Hasan and Afif Hossain, pace bowling all-rounder Ariful Hoque, pacer Abu Jahed Rani and wicketkeeper-batsman Zakir Hasan will be making their debuts on the squad. The players have each received BPL awards.

Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman will return from injury, while pacer Abu Hider will return to the team after the 2016 T20 World Cup.

Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nasir Hossain, Shafiul Islam and Taskin Ahmed have been swapped out of the squad that played in South Africa.
