Shakib takes two wickets in first over against Zimbabwe

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan struck twice in the opening over in the Tri-Nation Series, leaving Zimbabwe at 5/2.

Bangladesh won the toss at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday and chose to field.

The first ODI match sees the return of Anamul Haque and Sunzamul Islam to the international team’s starting eleven. Anamul has been off the squad for nearly three years, while Sunzamul is playing in his second ODI eight months after the first.

Five changes were made to the squad that played South Africa in ODIs. Soumya Sarker, Liton Das and Taskin Ahmed and off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz were taken out. Imrul Kayes is out due to injury.

Tamim Iqbal has returned after an injury and will open the Bangladesh batting with Anamul. Mustafizur Rahman is also returning to the team after recovering from an injury.
