The flight carrying the national cricket team landed at the Dhaka airport around 9:40am on Saturday.

Bangladesh made it to the semi-final for the first time before a 9-wicket defeat against India ended their dream run.

The Tigers scored 264 runs for seven wickets after India won the toss and chose to field.

A splendid century from Rohit Sharma and a captain’s knock by Virat Kohli brought the curtain down on Bangladesh’s Champions Trophy campaign.

After arriving at Dhaka on Saturday, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said that the team played well in the tournament and hoped that it would perform better in the next World Cup.

“We have to be more confident and need to improve ourselves for big matches,” he told the media at the Shahjalal International Airport.
