Sunny and Taskin are supposed to fly to Brisbane on Monday night but the coach is scheduled to leave on Friday.

With the bowling tests scheduled for Sep 8, Bangladesh Cricket Board felt the duo could use some company in such a crucial time in their career.

Akram Khan, chief of BCB's cricket operations, told bdnews24.com the board considered Hathurusingha, a resident of Sydney, to be perfect for the task after weighing the options.

"We thought sending the coach would be best as he actually lives in Australia and is very familiar with everything there. Also, his presence will inspire Sunny and Taskin," he said.

"We don't want Sunny and Taskin to go through the test immediately after reaching there. They will be sent a couple of days earlier so that they can practice.

"The coach will go there first and arrange everything."

The trip will be a combination of official duties and Eid break for the Sri Lankan coach.

Akram said Hathurusingha, who returned from a long holiday a few days ago, will spend some time with his family before the bowlers arrive.

"The camp will be closed for a few days because of the Eid holidays. He will just go there a few days earlier, that's it. He will return before the camp resumes," Akram added.
