Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza also called him at 9am on Thursday local time while numerous good wishes from his countrymen kept pouring in.
The surgery on his shoulder is scheduled for 2pm BST (7pm Bangladesh time) at London's Cromwell Hospital on Thursday.
Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan is with the Tigers' talismanic seamer at the London hospital, along with the board's chief physician Debashish Chowdhury.
Experienced orthopaedic surgeon Andrew Wallace is performing the operation on the 20-year old.
Hassan thinks Mustafizur is somewhat nervous as he had never gone under the knife before.
"That's why I came to give him support. He will stay at the hospital today after the operation," Hassan said.
Acting Bangladeshi High Commissioner Khondker Mohammad Talha had also visited the hospital earlier to give Mustafizur courage.
If everything goes as planned, he will leave hospital on Friday and visit the clinic a couple of times after that.
Media Committee chief Jalal Yunus told reporters at the BCB building on Thursday that county team Sussex had foot the bill for Mustafizur's treatment and MRIs several times before the surgery, which will cost around 10,000 pounds in total.
