Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the 14-member squad at a media call at its office in Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Chief selector Faruk Ahmed read out the list.

Pakistan will play three One-Day Internationals, two Tests and a T20 during their tour to Bangladesh.

All-rounder Abul Hasan, who has played five ODIs, has also been drafted into the team.

Talukder piled up 777 runs scoring three centuries to average 70.64 in first class National Cricket League.

He scored 714 runs with two hundreds in Dhaka Premier League.

Selectors dropped Imrul Kayes for a poor run of form after he made only nine runs in three World Cup matches.

Opening batsman Enamul Haque Junior, too, has again been ignored since he is yet to get back to fitness after a surgery on his shoulder.

The others who were left out of the squad are Al-Amin Hossain, Shafiul Islam and Taijul Islam.

Al-Amin was sent back home during the World Cup on disciplinary grounds. He was
not in  good form, either.

Pacer Shafiul played no part in the tournament while spinner Taijul was left out considering the conditions and the opponents.

Pacer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan were earlier named as the captain and vice captain respectively for limited-over forms.

But, Shakib will lead the Tigers in the first match as Mashrafe was handed a one-match ban by the ICC after his second slow over-rate offence of the World Cup in the quarter-final match against India.

All the three ODIs against Pakistan will be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka.

The final tie will be held on Apr 22.

The only T20 match will be held at the same venue on Apr 24.

The first Test at Khulna’s Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium will begin on Apr 28 and the second at Mirpur on May 6.

Pakistan are scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Apr 13.
