The Silicon Valley company provides a four-month, part-time, idea-stage training programme that identifies high-potential founders and guides them through company-building, according to a media release issued by the university on Sunday.

The first Founder Institute event titled “Startup Pitch Bootcamp: Learn How to Pitch, from Top Entrepreneurs” was held on the ULAB Campus A on Satmasjid Road in Dhaka in October.

The event was attended by the founders of Chaldal, Pathao, and high-profile angel investors such as David Halpert of Prince Street Capital.

The ULAB Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) is a research center dedicated to the creation and dissemination of knowledge at the nexus of business and social imperatives.

It also has an initiative known as Startup ULAB that aims to identify student entrepreneurs and connect them with resources internally and through external government and private sector partners.
