India invites applications for new courses

The Indian government has invited applications from “eligible” Bangladeshi nationals for the admission to the Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Pharmacy courses under ‘self-financing scheme’ for the academic year 2017-2018.

A candidate must have a minimum of 60 percent aggregate marks with at least 60 percent in physics, chemistry and mathematics separately in case of BE admission.

A minimum of 60 percent aggregate marks with at least 60 percent in physics, chemistry and biology (botany & zoology) separately in case of B Pharmacy admission would be needed.

In addition, 50 percent in English in the qualifying examinations equivalent to those conducted for grades 10 and 12 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India-equivalence certificates from Association of Universities, New Delhi for the purpose of admission to all of those courses must be enclosed.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has advised interested students to consult the website of Association of Indian Universities (http://www.aiuweb.org/Evaluation/evaluation.asp) for the English score details.

The courses as well as application details are available at www.hcidhaka.gov.in website. The last date of submission of completed application is April 30, the High Commission said in a statement.
