Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will open the show where top Thai brands will display their products.

Some 77 companies – 60 from Thailand and the rest Bangladeshi firms that import Thai products – will join this year, Director of the Thai Trade Center in Dhaka Suebsak Dangboonrueng said at a press briefing on Sunday.

He said this is the 18th showcase that will bring both private and government sector together.

Medicare services, cosmetics, beauty andwellness products, bedding accessories, spa, electrical appliances, stationery, household products, fresh fruits, food, textiles and fabric, lingerie, handbag, jewellery, confectionery, and decorative items including baby products are the major products that will be showcased.

The Office of Commercial Affairs in collaboration with Pan Pacific Sonargoan Hotel will hold “Thai Food Festival” alongside the fair.

There will also be a show of Thai classical dance performed by Thai artists

The two-way trade is just above $1 billion with Bangladesh exporting around $60 million worth of products, mostly readymade clothes.
