The five-day fair at the Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, which features 7,000 exhibitors from 109 countries, began on Oct 21 and will run until Oct 25.
The Bangladesh-based group is exhibiting a range of products, including juice and beverages, confectionaries, snacks, biscuits and baked goods, culinary goods, spices and frozen foods at two stalls.
The SIAL fair is one of the largest food fairs in the world and draws traders and buyers from every corner of the globe, said PRAN Export Limited COO Mizanur Rahman.
“The objective behind the participation in the fair is to increase export earnings of the PRAN Group through reaching new buyers,” he said. “Moreover, we can get idea about the world’s food market, which help us to bring new products to market for our customers across the globe.”
“For this reason, PRAN products are not only popular in Bangladesh but are also gradually getting popularity in the global market."
PRAN says it now exports goods to 141 countries around the world.
It has exported $330 million in the 2017-18 fiscal year, the company said in a statement.
