Grameenphone manager detained over illegal sale of corporate SIMs
The RAB has detained a Grameenphone marketing official and a distributor for selling corporate SIMs registered under the names of various institutions.

The two detainees are Grameenphone Senior Executive (Regional Sales) Syed Tanvirur Rahman and distributor Toufiq Hossain Palash.
Senior ASP Mohammad Sajidul Islam of RAB-4 said that the two had been detained in possession of a large quantity of illegal SIMs from the Mirpur-6 area on Saturday evening.
The two had been selling Grameenphone corporate SIMs registered to various companies, Sajidul told bdnews24.com.
The companies had been unaware that the SIMs had been registered in their names, he said.
These SIMs were used in various criminal activities, including fraud, he said.
Additional details would be provided at a press conference on Sunday, the RAB official said.
