Japan-Bangladesh Chamber elects new board of directors
The Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) has elected a new board of directors with Daisuke Arai, Country Representative of JETRO Dhaka Office, as its President.

General Manager of Mitsui & Co (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd Md Shariful Alam and Managing Director of Kojima Lyric Garments Ltd Imrul Anwar Liton wil be the vice-presidents of the board from July 2018 to June 2020.
Managing Director of NewVision Solutions Ltd Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan has been elected Secretary General while Chief Representative of MUFG Bank Ltd Dhaka Office Hideaki Kojima is treasurer.
The new directors are: Managing Director of AK Khan & Co Ltd Salahuddin Kasem Khan, General Manager of Marubeni Corporation Dhaka Office Akihisa Tomioka, Managing Director of Conveyor Logistics Ltd Kabir Ahmed, Director of Yusen Logistics (Bangladesh) Ltd Akira Endo, Managing Director of Asahi Consultants Ltd Masud Karim, Managing Partner of Shafic Mizan Rahman & Augustine (Chartered Accountants) AK Mizanur Rahman, and Managing Director of Nippon Express Bangladesh Ltd Kazuhiro Kobayakawa.
Managing Director of the Pacific Quality Control Centre Ltd Akhtaruzzaman has been designated as the adviser to the board of JBCCI again.
They took charge at a ceremony in Dhaka on Thursday, the JBCCI said.
