State-owned Rupali Bank expanding ATM booth services across Bangladesh

The state-owned Rupali Bank which has witnessed a massive reform under the present management has focused on expanding its ATM booth services and point of sale [POS] network across Bangladesh.

Managing Director Md Ataur Rahman Prodhan said on Monday they had already set up their own ATM booths in all 563 branches across the country.

“By this year, we’ll increase the number of booths so that clients get adequate services,” he said while inaugurating a new ATM booth at the Dilkusha Branch in Dhaka.

Along with the Chairman of the Board of Directors Monjur Hossain, he also inaugurated the new digital display board at the bank’s head office.

Rupali Bank, established in 1972, has made a profit of Tk5.37 billion last year from a loss of Tk 1 billion in the previous year after the changing of the management.

The Bank also changed its logo in Jan to return to the original one from 1972 after it recovers the significant losses.

Senior management and officials of the bank were also present during the Monday’s ceremony.
