MI Cement Factory (Crown Cement) has honoured a freedom fighter for his outstanding contribution during the 1971 Liberation War to mark Independence Day.
Sk Md Anwar Hossain Bir Protik of Sirajganj has been honoured as a hero, the company said in a statement on Monday.
Mohammed Jahangir Alam, chairman of Crown Cement, handed over a crest and financial assistance to him, while Md Alamgir Kabir, additional managing director of Crown Cement, handed over a gift voucher to the freedom fighter.
At the award ceremony, Hossain shared his war experiences.
