Bangladesh has joined Uber’s Lost and Found Index this year and ranked 11th when Uber released it for the second time, the world’s largest ride-sharing company said in a statement.

The index also provided a snapshot of most common things people have forgotten on their Uber rides in different cities, where the list of Dhaka riders began with cell phones.

It said the most frequently forgotten items by Dhaka riders include mobile phone, bag, wallet, keys, eye-wear, umbrella, ID card, licence or even passport. Money is also there on the list.

However, Uber riders in Dhaka showed their uniqueness by leaving behind a bag full of freshwater prawns, two badminton rackets, cat harness, gold chain, a bottle of lotion, cigar and even a can of coffee.

As the index also highlighted which days of the week riders are most forgetful, it mentioned Monday and Saturday for riders in Dhaka. Uber received most of the lost item reports on these two days.

Moreover, Uber has marked out October 14, December 30 and surprisingly the New Year’s Eve in 2017 as the most forgetful days for people in Dhaka based on the highest lost items reported to them.

Dhaka rides showed their bout of forgetfulness leading to losing an item in the afternoon, mostly between 2pm and 5pm.

“We hope to use this fun and insightful index as an opportunity to educate riders about the in-app features that help riders get reunited with their lost items,” said Prabhjeet Singh, regional general manager for Uber.
