He has succeeded Matiul Islam Nowshad, the immediate-past chief corporate and people officer who will now serve Axiata Group in Kuala Lumpur as a special projects director of HR.

Khan is a people development professional with a diverse corporate background developed over the last 24 years across multiple industries, Robi said in a statement on Thursday.

Joining Robi back in 2010, Khan was a crucial member of the HR transformation project team that saw the company being recognised as the Best People Management Company among all the operating companies in Axiata five years in a row.

He was also instrumental in leading the organisational change management initiatives through implementing HR processes to facilitate exceptional performance, the statement reads.

Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, managing director and CEO at Robi, said: “We are very happy to have Faisal heading the Human Resources division. His appointment once again bears testimony to our commitment to promote local talents in the senior leadership team.”

“I am confident that his rich profile in the human resources discipline will serve the company well as we pick up the speed for digital transformation of the company.”
