Wipro will use its HOLMES Artificial Intelligence Platform to manage the IT landscape of Bangladesh’s largest telecom provider, the Bengaluru-based company said in a press release on Thursday.

“Wipro will own end-to-end application development and management, infrastructure support and maintenance and back office processes for GP,” the statement said.

“We selected Wipro as the partner to offer managed services for Grameenphone based on a thorough evaluation process, and we are very proud of being able to attract a world class organisation like Wipro to Bangladesh,” said Grameenphone CEO Michael Foley.

“We have full trust in this partnership to deliver the business results as per plan,” Foley was quoted in the statement as saying.

According to Wipro, the company uses cognitive computing, hyper-automation, robotics, cloud, analytics and emerging technologies to help clients adapt and succeed in the digital world.
