The building's doors were unlocked by the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha, or RAJUK, around 9am on Thursday at the request of businessowners.

Later, different organisations were seen loading their goods on trucks.

RAJUK Chief Engineer ASM Raihanul Ferdous said that a few office holders were unable to clear their offices by the time the illegally constructed building was sealed off on Tuesday evening.

They have been given until 5pm to vacate the building.

"We have opened the building for those who sought a chance to remove their goods. They have the whole day today to shift their belongings,” said RAJUK Director Waliur Rahman.

“But if they're unable to vacate the building by today, we will give them until Apr 24 upon request."
